Summary
As an Accountant at Hagerman & Company, you will play a vital role in the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and the integrity of financial records. This role involves overseeing daily accounting activities, preparing financial reports, and providing valuable insights to help drive business decisions. The position is based at our corporate office in Mt. Zion, IL, with the potential for a hybrid-remote work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain precise and up-to-date financial records.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and deadlines, managing filings as needed.
- Produce accurate financial statements in line with regulations.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and verify the integrity of financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare and organize records for audits, ensuring all financial documentation is in place and easily accessible.
- Leverage accounting software for efficient data management and reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and optimize business performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
- Ability to produce clear and concise financial reports.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
