We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pest control methods, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate various tools and machinery. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining a pest-free environment for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and potential entry points.
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments using various methods, including chemical applications, traps, and exclusion techniques.
- Utilize farm machinery, power tools, hand tools, and other equipment safely and effectively during pest control operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining treatment plans and preventative measures to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatment details and follow-up recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and regulatory changes related to pest control.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pest control or a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with farm machinery, lawn care practices, landscape maintenance, and power tools is advantageous.
- Strong sales skills are a plus for promoting additional services to clients.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for travel between job sites.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
