We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Representative to join our Strategic Operations Team. This early-career position will focus on managing B2B/corporate accounts, ensuring timely collections, reconciling payments, and resolving invoice disputes. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to grow in a fast-paced corporate environment.
As part of an effort in bringing teams and individuals together in a collaborative environment, we require employees who reside within a 30-mile radius of the Sterling, IL office to work from this location anywhere from 1-2x a week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned corporate accounts and ensure timely collections on outstanding balances.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due invoices via email and phone.
- Maintain strong relationships with B2B clients to ensure smooth payment processes.
- Apply customer payments, adjustments, and credit memos accurately.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and disputes.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Account Executive, Customer Service, and Finance) to resolve AR-related concerns
- Provide clients with invoice copies, statements, and payment confirmations upon request.
- Maintain accurate customer records, collection notes, and account history in the system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly AR reports for Account Executive review.
- Research returned mail and bank correspondence (i.e., short- & over-payments).
Requirements
- 2 years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Finance (corporate/B2B experience is a plus).
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Highly proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Deadline-oriented, organized, good time management, and detail oriented
- Effective oral/written communication skills
- Problem solving skills are important daily tasks
- Flexible, team player and able to partner with all levels of management
- Available to work overtime when required as well as come into the Sterling, IL office 1-2xs a week

Compensation: The estimated base hourly rate for this position is between $15 and $20 per hour. Please note that this pay range serves as a general guideline and reflects a broad spectrum of labor markets across the US. While it is uncommon for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range, compensation decisions are influenced by various factors.
