Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results driven Equipment Sales Representative to join our sales team. In this role you will be responsible for selling our range of products to dealers and customers. Your ability to build strong relationships with our dealers and customers and the ability to understand their business structure and needs will be crucial in driving sales and achieving targets.
Responsibilities
- Answer dealer and customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses and credit terms.
- Recommend products to customers, based on customers’ needs and interests.
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
- Prepare sales quotes and invoices using our internal ERP system.
- Coordinate and plan sales presentations, trade shows and other promotional events.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
- Perform administrative duties such as entering data in our CRM system, preparing sales budgets and sales reports.
- Find and develop new dealers in areas designated by sales management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in direct sales, dealer sales or account management within the equipment industry or a related field.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with dealers and customers.
- Ability to effectively communicate prices and other sales terms. Comfortable in the sales process and professional in customer care.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve sales objectives.
- Proficient in lead generation techniques and territory management strategies.
- Competent in the use of computers, software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Video Conferencing. Willing to learn and become proficient in manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Software (CRM).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Mechanical aptitude to aid in fully understanding the company’s product line.
- A passion for equipment solutions and a desire to help dealers and customers succeed.
