Responsibilities
- Report each day on time and ready to work
- Ensure reliable transportation to jobsite
- Ensure project safety rules and environmental regulations are followed at all times
- Utilize hand signals, signs & handheld stop/slow paddle to direct traffic through construction zone
- Communicate with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct traffic
- Set up signage and traffic cones along construction zone per traffic control plan
- Remove signs, and traffic cones at the end of each shift as needed
Requirements:
- Experience on heavy civil construction projects including bridges, highway, transit, and rail preferred
- Certification through the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA)
- Experience as a flagger preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
- Ability to travel to the Susitna North Area
