THIS IS A DEPARTMENTAL PROMOTIONAL POSTING OPPORTUNITY. ONLY CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF HAMILTON COUNTY RECOVERY COURT DEPARTMENT WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of administrative and casework duties in support of the Recovery Court Program, including responding to referrals and applications to the Recovery Court, coordinating eligibility clearance, completing assessments, and coordinating the intake process. The Navigator participates in Recovery Court staffings and dockets, provides updates on intake and referral process, and maintains records for data collection. The position maintains a small caseload of Recovery Court participants and provides Case Management services and supervision.

This is a Fair Labor Standards Act defined Exempt Position - Exempt positions are excluded from minimum wage, overtime regulations, and other rights and protections afforded nonexempt workers. The employee in this position is paid a salary rather than an hourly wage for this position. FLSA does not limit the amount of work time an employer may require or expect from any exempt employee, on any schedule. Hamilton County Government expects an employee in this position to complete the work assigned regardless the amount of hours involved in completing the tasks assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Public or Community Health, Family and Consumer Science, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field plus one (1) year of direct work experience in case management in a probation, law enforcement, or substance use treatment position. A valid driver's license is required. Requires a minimum of (2) years of experience working within the criminal justice system.
OR
An Associate’s degree in Social Services, Public or Community Health, Family and Consumer Science, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field plus four (4) years of direct work experience in Social Services, Public or Community Health, Family and Consumer Science, Criminal Justice, or Public Administration, two (2) years of which must be working within the criminal justice system, and one (1) year of which must be in case management in a probation, law enforcement, or substance use treatment position. A valid driver's license is required.
OR
Six (6) years of direct work experience in Social Services, Public or Community Health, Family and Consumer Science, Criminal Justice, or Public Administration, two (2) years of which must be working within the criminal justice system, and one (1) year of which must be in case management in a probation, law enforcement, or substance use treatment position. A valid driver's license is required.
Additional Requirements
Must attend all Recovery Court Training and obtain any certifications required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience administering risk and needs assessments is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Work requires managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment including extensive computer data entry and processing; bending, stooping, walking and/or standing for extended periods of time, and carrying of equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. Work may also involve the potential for physical harm in dealing with defendants and potential exposure to infectious diseases.
