We serve the residents of Hamilton County in more ways than you may realize! As the Risk Management Claims Specialist in Hamilton County, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing claims related to Ohio State Fund workers' compensation and property and liability insurance. In this role you will ensure timely and effective claim handling, compliance with state regulations, and proactive risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial and operational impacts.
Summary of Job Duties:
- Manages State Fund Workers’ Compensation (WC) and property and liability claims; receives, reviews, and processes claims.
- Processes WC claims for self-insured OCIP programs for Paycor Stadium and Great American Ballpark.
- Handles Ohio public records, organizes data, creates reports, answers questions, manages documents, and updates workers' compensation information using a computer.
- Maintains the OSHA reporting log, ensuring that all incidents in compliance with Ohio’s Public Employer Risk Reduction Program regulations.
- Offers guidance and training to departmental representatives on effectively managing workers' compensation and property and liability claims
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
- Two (2) years human resource/personnel experience in insurance administration, risk management, or a related field.
Work Location and Hours:
- 138 East Court St. Cincinnati, Oh. 45202
- 40 Hour Work Week, generally between core hours of 7:30-5:30
