A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
As a Front Office Manager with our hospitality team, you play an essential role in empowering our front desk staff to deliver exceptional customer service to our hotel guests. You ensure all staff members comply with unit cash handling policies as well as credit and check cashing procedures. To keep our guests satisfied, you also make sure our front desk staff has knowledge of incoming groups and new accounts. As needed, you help out with pre-registration and blocking reservations to keep our records in shape.
In addition, you maintain communication with the director of sales to stay informed of recent developments and upcoming events. You keep track of our hotel's demand segments and the sources of business for each one. Your responsibilities also include making the front desk schedule to ensure all shifts are properly staffed as well as assisting with city ledger billing and maintenance. Checklists are always completed by the end of your shift, and you make sure our front desk area is kept neat and presentable. Your hard work keeps our hotel operating smoothly, and it brings you great satisfaction to know your administrative duties contribute to our business in such a big way!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
- Proficiency with computers
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time as well as lift a minimum of 25 pounds
