What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel General Manager position at Hampton Inn & Suites?
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the hotel. The General Manger is responsible for revenue generation to meet or exceed budget, cost control, maintaining operating and brand standards, daily duties, scheduling, supervision and monitoring, leadership, and individual effectiveness. Our General Mangers know the daily operation of each department within the hotel and establishes and maintains a positive employee climate to meet or exceed guest expectations.
Requirements:
o Prior supervisory and hospitality experience are required
o Prior hospitality management experience is strongly preferred
o Prior experience with hotel computer systems and spreadsheet programs is preferred
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Ability to plan, organize and lead the activities of others
o Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
o Excellent time and project management skills
o Customer-service orientated
o Strong multitasking and organizational skills
o Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
o Strong initiative and work ethic
o Strong attention to detail
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
o Excellent communication skills- verbal and written
