Assistant Chef

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Help. In this entry-level role, you will assist with various kitchen duties, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. If you have a passion for food and are ready to learn in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to have you on board!

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cleaning of food items.

• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by following cleaning schedules and food safety protocols.

• Help with food storage and organization of ingredients.

• Assist in unloading deliveries and storing supplies.

• Support chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks during service, including setting up and breaking down workstations.

Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Take care of waste disposal and recycling duties.

• Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe kitchen environment.

• Work with the team to ensure orders are completed efficiently and correctly.

Requirements:

• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).

• A strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.

• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness.

• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

• Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and evenings, if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
