Job Description
Production Supervisor must provide strong leadership and effectively manage team members, materials, equipment, process, and cost for the team(s) assigned. Production Supervisors are required to focus on Safety, Quality, Cost, JIT requirements, and productivity of their assigned areas. Production supervisors are also responsible to lead and enforce all of the company's policies and procedures. The roles and responsibilities listed are not meant to be all inclusive. The needs of the company may require individuals to perform other functions.
- Lead the assigned team(s) in all Hanon Systems safety principles and other policies/procedures
- Manage issues that arise while maintaining responsibility for downtime, team issues, quality issues, and reporting
- Regularly communicate issues to plant leadership, support functions, and the team
- Support, participate, and ensure compliance with Hanon Systems policies and guidelines
- Follow, explain and clarify company policies and procedures to all team members
- Use progressive discipline to track problematic areas and update you manager / HR as needed of any ongoing issues
- Recommend and assist in implementing measures to improve production methods, equipment, product quality, and efficiency through daily meetings and production reports
- Perform investigations and report all incidents when the occur (spills, accidents, poor performance)
- Monitor and enforce all attendance policies for assigned team members
- Allocate, monitor and report manning weekly to remain within direct and indirect labor goals
- Support and promote all initiatives of continuous improvement
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits as needed
- Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas
- Communicate respectfully and build a motivated, energized team environment
- Ability to embrace a diverse working culture
- Contributes to team effort by leading the communication to the line, such as pre shift meetings, assist in delegation of work assignments, training, and continuous improvement activates
- Prioritize workload to optimize line efficiency and lien manpower by coordinating lien transfers and breaks when needed
- Perform periodic evaluations with team leaders for all employees in assign area(s)
- Develop, coach, and motivate the production team members in the assigned area(s)
- Participate in facilitate training, evaluations, committees, and task forces as required
- Promote teamwork and be a team player in all areas of the plant
- Report all production data to appropriate groups on a daily basis
- Support, participate, and comply with all EHS policies, procedures, and objectives including ensuring the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift
- Comply with and follow all Hanon Systems policies, processes, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- 3 years of experience in a leadership position
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates degree preferred
- Automotive Assembly - experience in the industry, training functions preferred

- Stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
