Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Trainer to design, develop, and implement comprehensive technical training programs across our organization. The Technical Trainer will work closely with regional training managers and subject matter experts to assess training needs, develop learning materials, and deliver training programs to ensure consistent and effective training across all departments and locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Able to break down complex technical concepts into easily digestible eLearning content with interactive and compelling story telling elements.
  2. Able to break down complex technical concepts into ILT programs e-learners with the ability to troubleshoot, set up and demonstrate products confidently.
  3. Assess training needs and work with course creators to design and develop engaging materials such as videos, presentations, and other learning resources.
  4. Oversee and manage the production of outsourced training content.
  5. Facilitate training for internal trainers on global curricula and course content.
  6. Utilize authoring tools to create interactive and visually appealing learning experiences.
  7. Develop instructional design documents, including storyboards, detailed course outlines, scripts, and learning objectives, aligned with training goals and instructional best practices.
  8. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, identifying areas for improvements and updating content as needed.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies in training and instructional design.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. 5 years of experience in developing and delivering technical training programs, preferably in a global organization.
  2. Prior experience working for a global video security company, developing and implementing state of the art security solutions.
  3. Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering is preferred
  4. Knowledge of IT network technologies and recent physical security or video surveillance technologies is preferred.
  5. Knowledge of tools such as Articulate Storyline, Vyond, Adobe Illustrator, Docebo, MS Office, PowerPoint, and video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or SnagIt is a plus.
  6. Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and timeline management.
  7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  9. Willingness to travel as needed to deliver technical training programs and collaborate with colleagues globally.
