What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2024 Summer Internship - Intern Trainee position at Hapag-Lloyd?
Purpose of the Position:
Provides assistance to the outside sales force by directing peripheral sales activities to the appropriate person. Quotes
rates to current and potential customers in accordance with company guidelines.
Essential Functions:
• Monitor and action customer disputes focusing on root cause identification / solutions
• Action tasks related to reporting FIS workflows, ICCL requirements, Genesis, etc.
• Improve rated shipment % utilizing reporting and other resources aligned with KPIs
• Initiate wavier requests related to RA error
• Directly prepares contracts and amendments for processing by the Hapag-Lloyd Global Sourcing (HLGS)
• Submits and checks tariff filings
• Coordination of COD with CSB
• Files/publishes rates, service contracts and amendments as required by FMC regulations
• Align, Validate, and Audit contract results with commercial team
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve customer grievances
• Supports E- Business / BA department regarding invoicing rate discrepancies, freight audit, etc.
