What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Hospital Receptionist position at Happy Tails Urgent Care?
We are seeking an experienced (1yr minimum) Veterinary Receptionist that is passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care to the dogs and cats in our community. We are a privately owned GP Veterinary, community based small animal clinic seeking loyal and dedicated individuals.
Experience with NEO software is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Collect and update patient information in the computer system
- Assist with filing and organizing medical records
- Provide basic information to clients about pet care and veterinary services
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Skills:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Knowledge of basic pet care and veterinary terminology
- Proficiency in computer systems and software

Must be motivated to learn, responsible, reliable and able to work Saturdays. Must be polite and caring with a genuine interest in helping animals and their people.
Full day shifts consists of 10 hour shifts (4 days/ week) or 8 hour shifts (5 days/week). Clinic hours fall between Noon and 9pm Monday-Saturday(we are closed on Sundays). Please disclose any scheduling conflicts you may have when applying.
