Construction Supervisor
Harbor Habitat for Humanity, is a Christian, non-profit housing ministry that seeks to eliminate inadequate housing by engaging the community and partnering with families to provide them with a safe, decent, and affordable place to live. In order to make homes affordable, we seek and encourage the support of volunteers to build each house.
HHFH is looking for a Construction Site Supervisor with similar values and beliefs who can translate his or her expertise and skills to our building projects.
Qualifications
•High school or equivalent (Preferred)
•Driver's License
Responsibilities
•Taking apart or constructing scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures for theconstruction site
•Dig trenches and backfill holes to prepare for the construction site.
•Operating equipment and heavy machinery used in construction sites.
•Following instructions from construction project managers and supervisors
•Loading and unloading building materials
•Cleaning the construction site by removing hazardous materials and debris from the worksite
•Assisting craft workers such as carpenters or electricians with their duties, if needed
Skills
•Basic math skills calculations while measuring on job sites and to help the surveying crew
•Mechanical skills to use the heavy machinery and equipment that is used regularly onconstruction sites.
•Physical strength when performing heavy labor that is required from construction workers suchas lifting materials.
•Physical stamina to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot orcold weather.
Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Flexible Shifts Monday-Saturday
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
