Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive classroom environment that promotes learning for all students.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust educational plans as necessary.
- Provide training and support to teachers on best practices in special education and conflict management.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Facilitate meetings with educators, parents, and specialists to discuss student needs and strategies for improvement.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in special education, literacy education, and childhood development.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Special Education and
- PA Administration certification or PA Supervisory certification in Special Education
Experience
- Proven experience working with students in a classroom setting, particularly in special education or private school environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and literacy education strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
- Experience in conflict management to address challenges that may arise within the educational setting.
