JOB TITLE: Regional Sales Manager -
Industrial Electronic Mechanical Fastener Distributor
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Educating sales team presenting business strategies, attending seminars, and trade shows
- Overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives
- Recruiting, training, and supporting general managers as well as conducting regular performance meetings and reviews
- Developing and implementing business, marketing, and advertising plans
- Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts
- Planning, evaluating, and optimizing operations to be efficient and cost-effective
- Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed
- Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, analyses, and reports of operations and finances
- Identify trends and opportunities through the voice of the customer to develop strategic sales plans, customer-specific strategies, and product strategy. (innovation, cost reduction, product depth, and end-of-life products.)
- Establish and maintain a strong business relationship with key customers, suppliers, and Hardware Specialty internal management across all departments
- Foster, communicate, and exemplify the values of Hardware Specialty; act with integrity and trust, operate with simplicity, treat everyone with respect, and take shared risk with your team
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
- 7-10 Years’ Experience in industrial and/or electronic component distribution
- 5 Years’ Experience Managing sales and sales management teams
- Dynamic and proven leader in regional, national, or global distribution
- Experience with contract manufacturing, military, aerospace, and OEM markets a plus
- Experience developing and measuring sales goals and results
- Willing and able to travel domestically 25-50% Business Days (Currently travel is restricted due to Covid policies but anticipated to resume when appropriate)
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment using Outlook, Teams/Virtual Meeting Software, Excel, and sales and productivity results analysis
- Demonstrated results pursuing and negotiating national or global agreements with senior and executive level customer contacts (preferred)
- Demonstrated growth in sales and profitability via direct selling and/or leadership of a sales team (preferred)
- Experience in hiring and developing sales and sales management teams (preferred)
- Strong understanding of fastener standards and specifications a plus
- Experience in customer application engineering and design support through associated selling partnering with manufacturing representatives a plus
- Experience in supply chain solution programs such as VMI, contract negotiations, purchasing agreements a plus
