Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks a highly-driven, multi-talented Marketing Manager to build awareness and support for HCZ by supporting the creation and implementation of strategic, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
The Marketing Manager will join our Communications Team at the forefront of innovation at HCZ. The ideal candidate will be a high-performing marketing strategist and operations specialist with skills and experience supporting the development and implementation of multi-channel marketing strategies. The individual will join HCZ during a critical phase, as we work to scale our impact across the country and place children from under-resourced communities on the pathway to social and economic mobility.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years’ experience working in paid marketing, advertising, brand management, social media, and email marketing
- Skills and experience using websites (Wordpress preferred), social media (Meta, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), email marketing (Mailchimp preferred)
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities at once
- Commitment to HCZ values and mission
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Marketing Manager will support the creation and implementation of paid and owned marketing strategies to advance key priorities: brand awareness, scholar enrollment, talent recruitment, thought leadership, staff culture, and philanthropy. Working in collaboration with the Communications Team and stakeholders across HCZ, they will do this by supporting high-value campaigns executed across our digital properties (e.g., website, social media, email marketing), advertising channels (e.g., connected TV, search, and display) and out of home (e.g., brand activations, public transportation, printed content, and other spatial ads). Some travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Support, from conception to implementation, high-value, paid and owned marketing campaigns, tailored to different platforms and audiences, to advance key priorities: brand awareness, scholar enrollment, talent recruitment, and thought leadership.
- Help oversee the day-to-day execution of marketing strategies, ensuring smooth operations by managing processes, data, and technology to efficiently implement campaigns and track results
- Administer our website, optimizing its design, content, and functionality, and working with our web development consultant to troubleshoot issues
- Help manage our owned marketing platforms, including social media (primarily Meta, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube), website, and email marketing
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns using various data gathering platforms and leverage that data to optimize those campaigns in real time
- Steward the HCZ brand, ensuring consistent messaging, visual identity, and brand voice across all channels
- Design processes and acquire new platforms to streamline our paid and owned marketing efforts

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000-$85,000 with a comprehensive benefits package including employer-covered health insurance.
