Harmer has partnered with our long-time client in their search for an AP Manager. This would be a contract-to-hire position.
The ideal candidate would have a strong background in managing AP operations, supervising teams, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This is a great opportunity to work within an established team in a stable industry!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Supervise and mentor a team of AP staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations.
- Review and approve vendor payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual agreements.
- Manage month-end close processes, ensuring all AP transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Analyze and reconcile AP accounts, preparing necessary financial reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the AP department.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelors in Accounting (Preferred)
- 7 years AP/Accounting experience
- Proven supervisory experience in managing a team
- Strong knowledge of AP processes
