THE ROLE – Head of Technology Operations
My client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Technology Operations to lead and refine the organization’s technology ecosystem. This leadership role is responsible for critical functions including help desk support, device management, systems administration, and networking. You will develop and implement a strategic vision that ensures technology operations align with organizational goals, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall experience for staff, students, and other stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and mentor a team of 30 technology professionals, including leaders overseeing help desk, device management, and systems administration. Foster a cohesive and results-driven team culture.
- Ensure technology support is effective and responsive, resolving critical issues quickly to minimize disruptions and maintain operational stability.
- Build and execute a strategic roadmap for technology operations, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and user-centric solutions.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of devices, including acquisition, inventory, security, and troubleshooting, while developing policies to ensure consistent and effective use.
- Act as a key communicator between the technology teams and organizational leaders, providing updates on progress, addressing challenges, and proposing innovative solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement across all technology functions, implementing modern processes and tools while balancing the need for operational stability.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated success in leading large, diverse technology teams, with hands-on experience in areas like help desk management, device lifecycle management, and systems administration.
- Strong understanding of technology infrastructure and operations, with the ability to navigate and manage complex, fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to align technical solutions with organizational needs and strategic goals.
- Expertise in device management, including creating policies and optimizing processes for inventory and lifecycle management.
- Exceptional problem-solving and crisis management skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities, with experience engaging and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
