We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Automotive Service Estimator to join our growing family business. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing vehicle repair needs, providing accurate estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Your expertise will help guide customers through their automotive service options while promoting additional services that enhance their vehicle's performance.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer vehicles to determine necessary repairs and maintenance services.
- Provide detailed and accurate estimates for repairs, including parts and labor costs.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's needs and recommended services.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, brake repairs, shocks and struts, tire services, and more.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure all repairs are performed to the highest standards.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, customer interactions, and follow-up communications.
- Foster positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and automotive technologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive service or sales is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including oil changes, brake repairs, shocks and struts, and tire services.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Ability to upsell services while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- A background as a service technician is a plus but not required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary for test driving vehicles as needed.
