Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and conduct new client intakes, including interviewing clients and children, collecting demographic information, collecting criminal history, explain program rules and obtain signatures, review safety plan, and create file.
  • Open supervised visitation files. Prepare family intake summary information, including contact cards, contact phone numbers, reasons for referral, frequency of visits, emergency medical authorization, etc.
  • Receive incoming client calls according to departmental procedures in a courteous manner and provides information to the public (other County departments, etc.). When necessary, refer clients to other agencies from the referral list provided. Route other calls to the appropriate staff personnel in a timely manner. Other duties include distributing faxes, taking accurate messages, monitoring office appointments, e-filing letters, and maintaining reception area.
  • Performs clerical duties to include but not limited to: typing correspondence, faxing, filing, file set-up and data entry.
  • Monitor and maintain an active, registration pending and administrative hold caseload of Supervised Visitation cases by alpha split, entering all relevant information and events accurately and in a timely manner. Following data base entry, prepare and forward notice to the Court, attorneys, and parties regarding visitation site assignment.
  • Provide supervisory and/or monitor duties on the Saturday following the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Friday of each month at a minimum of 8:30 am to 1:30 p.m. at various sites around Harris County.
  • Close Supervised Visitation files. Ensure that documents are securely fastened and organized appropriately in all case files being routed to the bank. Enter data in the case management database.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited educational institution.

  • Three (3) years customer service, legal, social work or case management experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to learn and become proficient in a case management system.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Word for Windows and Excel.

  • Strong writing ability and communication skills.

  • Excellent customer services skills.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:

  • Grant-funded Full-time

  • Monday - Friday | 8 hours a day

  • Start time is between 7:30 A.M. and 8:00 A.M.

    • The position does require working on each Saturday following the 1st, 3rd & 5th Saturday of the month from 8:15 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Salary: 
  • Depends on Qualifications
  • Based on 26 Pay Periods
    • Plus, benefits



Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.

Salary : $52,500 - $55,000
