Architectural Designer II - Retail & Real Estate Projects
We're looking for a dynamic, creative, and solution-oriented Architectural Designer II to join our team! In this role, you'll collaborate with a talented, cross-discipline group to create exceptional designs for a range of exciting retail, automotive dealerships, multi-family, and large scale mixed-use development projects. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designer will use 2D and 3D software (REVIT) to assist the Design Team in the development of designs
and drafting construction documents in support of clients' building program - Designer should utilize education and experience to independently tackle challenges as they arise on projects with the support of Design Team lead.
- Designer shall gain experience evaluating client requirements, building code, and zoning regulations to develop design recommendations.
- Provide technical design planning and coordination in a collaborative and multi-disciplined environment
- Performs architectural assignments focused on construction document production and coordination with regulatory authorities to gain necessary approval for construction.
- Work may include construction administration tasks leading to project completion, under supervision of Design Team Lead, for training and development purposes.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Efficiently produce accurate construction documents with minimal supervision by reviewing own work
- Develop specifications writing and compiling skills
- Conduct building code analysis and research regulatory requirements to determine design constraints
- Communicate and present design options and alternates to clients
- Work with municipalities to secure entitlements and building permits
- Respond to Contractor Requests for Information
- Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with design intent
- Entry level management responsible for staff and projects
- Maintain compliance with milestones established by Design Team Leads
- Monitor performance of design team consultants
- Perform quality control review of team members work product
- Produce accurate construction documents detailing the clients vision and goals
- Document and analyze existing building conditions to produce as-built documents and reports (Travel required)
- Conduct building code analysis and research regulatory requirements to determine design constraints
- Develop design options and alternates
- Coordinate building components and systems with other disciplines to develop construction documents based on the clients requirements
- Designer shall perform quality control of their own work prior to giving to the Architect of Record for signing and sealing
- Depending on needs of client and team, Designer could have direct contact with client on a
regular basis

Qualifications
Education Requirements: Equivalent of a bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design or an
Architectural Studies degree preferred but not required.
Licensure Requirements: None required
Year Experience Requirements: 5-10 years
