JOBSITE LOCATION: Paris, Tx and surrounding areas
STARTING SALARY: $132,000 - $159,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

JOB SUMMARY: The Chief Estimator is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the estimating department, including pre-bid meeting attendance, preconstruction services, plan and specification procurement and reviews, posting project for bidding, quantity take offs, summary top sheets, directions and coordinating activities of the designated estimate to ensure that goals or objectives of the estimate and the company are accomplished timely, efficiently and within company guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates and executes team management work plan to include: Team management, training and support of estimating team.
- Creates and executes estimating work plan to include: estimate preparation & set up, coordination of bidding activities, posting of plans and specifications to ISQFT and/ or Base Camp.
- Responsible for coordination and solicitation of quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
- Reviews and understands plans and specifications with the ability to establish complete and proper scopes, recognizes conflicts or problems to provide complete and accurate estimate.
- Reviews plans and specifications to submit appropriate RFIs to the design team.
- Demonstrates ability to perform quantity take offs and provide accurate scopes, counts and quantities.
