Hartford Athletic's Youth Academy is experiencing rapid growth in its second year. As an extension of Hartford Athletic's professional team, the Academy aims to nurture local talent and foster a love for soccer at the grassroots level. It offers top-tier coaching and clear pathways to professional soccer, focusing on developing both skilled players and well-rounded individuals. The Academy embodies Hartford Athletic's commitment to growing the game in Connecticut while providing opportunities for young athletes on and off the field. Through its expansion and dedication to excellence, the Youth Academy is shaping the future of soccer in the region and contributing to Hartford's vibrant sporting community.
Responsibilities:
Perform all administrative responsibilities for the youth academy program including, but not limited to:
• Manage and maintain the LeagueApps/Team registration platform for the organization
• Organize and confirm the programming schedule for all academy events, including training sessions, matches, tryouts, and first-team experiences/interactions with the Director of Operations
• Establish and maintain all uniform and equipment ordering processes with retail manager
• Process all communication with parents, parent managers, and coaches regarding schedules, rosters, league requirements
• Execute scholarship program protocol with Green & Blue Foundation President
• Assist technical staff in organizing the overall youth club structure for the Academy
• Collaborate with technical staff to create clear processes and ensure an effective workflow is put into practice regarding tryouts, registration, and all Academy logistics
• Serve as liaison between commercial and technical staff as Academy activities are concerned
• Represent Hartford Athletic at various offsite events promoting product sales, the Academy, and engagement with the Greater Hartford community
• Attend all scheduled Hartford Athletic matches and Trinity Health Stadium ticketed events, serving as a key member of the Front Office
• Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Previous event operations and professional or collegiate sports sales experience is preferred
• Knowledge and experience with CRM and sales platforms a plus
• Experienced and proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
• Conversational and written Spanish language proficiency preferred
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, time management, written, and verbal skills
• Ability to work extended hours including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
