Sr. Payroll Specialist
Mountain View, CA (Hybrid)
6 Months Contract
Pay rate: $50-55/hr on W2 Health Insurance
Job Description
- Prepare and process US semi-monthly for both exempt and nonexempt employees.
- Prepare and process payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing in compliance with the Company’s compensation & benefits policies and procedures.
- Review weekly new hire report and validate all pay profile information in Namely Payroll & HRIS
- Inform the HRIS team of data corrections where applicable
- Update all payroll changes in the submission template for processing
- Send e-signature federal & state forms to new hires
- Calculate final pay for terminations
- Enter supplemental compensation, ie. sign-on bonus, relocation bonus, referral bonus, and stipends but not limited to Audit timesheets for hourly employees for accuracy and completeness in compliance with federal and state Wage & Hour lawsUpload timesheet data to the Namely ticketing system
- Perform audits before payroll transmission
- Process off-cycle payroll as needed
- Send post-payroll reports to Accounting for reporting purposes
- Ad hoc requests related to payroll reporting from Accounting, HR and other functional groups
- Back up to Payroll Manager to employee’s inquires
- Support manager with external/internal audits
- Prepare and process Canada semi-monthly to ensure accurate and timely processing to align with the Company’s compensation & benefit programs
- Review weekly new hire report and validate all pay profile information in the Namely HRIS
- Manually enter Canada new hire profile information in the TeamADP payroll Tool
- Send post-payroll reports to Accounting for reporting purposes
Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of practical payroll work experience is required.
- Must have multi-state payroll and Canada payroll experience
- Hands-on experience with Payroll systems (Namely preferred but not required)
- Understanding of federal/state Wage & Hour Laws related to timekeeping
- Microsoft Office Suite experience (ability to do pivot tables, VLookups and otherfunctions)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written & verbal
Salary : $50 - $55
