What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer (Requires Weekends) position at Harvey Performance Company?

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Work within a team environment to develop and improve manufacturing processes, by studying product and manufacturing methods and provide input to continually improve processes for an efficient and productive manufacturing environment.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Create/edit/maintain Engineering documentation such as:
- Geometry specification data
- Product drawings
- Process documentation
- Approval drawings for Specials
- Manufacturing methods
- Create SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) – for current Software and machines.
- Learn and remain current on products, process, and manufacturing equipment.
- Create and maintain continuous improvement initiatives such as master programs, wheel configurations, lean manufacturing, training criteria, and other manufacturing improvements.
- Drive continuous equipment improvements including automation and maintenance collaboration.
- Other responsibilities:
- Product flow and staging
- Specials RTM (Release to Manufacture)
- Assist in NPD (New Product Development).
YOU'LL BRING:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to read and interpret machine drawings, micrometers, and calipers.
- PC proficiency.
- 5 years of grinding experience using Walter, Rollomatic, Anca or Star.
- Experience or aptitude for Solidworks, Tool Studio, Numroto, VirtualGrind.
