VP of Finance

Vice President of Finance

Location: NYC or Boston (Hybrid)

Hatch is seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as a key partner to our executive team as we scale from $5M to $50M in ARR. This role is designed for a finance leader who has experience in early-stage, high-growth SaaS startups, understands the levers for revenue growth, and can drive both financial and operational strategy.

Who You Are:

• Former analyst at a PE or VC firm with 1-2 years of experience
• 3-5 years under a CFO
• Looking to become a CFO in your next role
• Deep experience in SaaS (sales-led, not marketing or product-led)
• Have successfully navigated the $5M to $50M growth stage
• Strong academic background from a top-tier Ivy League school (Math, Economics, or Business)
• Comfortable working cross-functionally across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
  
  

What You’ll Do:

• Financial Leadership: Own P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and expense management to ensure profitability and smart capital allocation
• Fundraising & Investor Relations: Support capital raises and manage financial communications with investors and stakeholders
• Revenue & Sales Operations: Build and optimize revenue operations, commissions, and sales strategy in partnership with the CEO and CRO
• Growth & Expansion Strategy: Develop financial models and insights that drive decision-making across the company
• Data & Insights: Work closely with the data team to define and analyze key business metrics that inform GTM strategies
• Operational Strategy: Establish scalable finance, marketing, and sales ops processes to drive efficiency and revenue acceleration
