We are seeking a reliable and proactive Day Porter/Janitor to maintain cleanliness and organization in our facilities during business hours. The ideal candidate will ensure a welcoming and safe environment for employees and visitors by performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, and conference rooms.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring all surfaces are free of dirt and debris.
- Ensure restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies and are clean and sanitized.
- Dispose of trash and recycling in a timely manner, maintaining a tidy environment.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and reporting any repair needs.
- Set up and take down furniture for meetings and events when required.
- Respond to immediate cleaning requests and emergencies as they arise.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying management when supplies are low.
- Adhere to safety and security protocols while performing duties.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial and custodial roles
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and floor care
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks and facilities upkeep
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning standards
- Experience as a porter is a plus
- Skills in buffing and residential painting are advantageous
