Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, focusing on commercial, industrial, and clinical settings.
We have a few positions that are 7 nights a week, some that are 5 nights a week, some that are 3 nights a week, and some that are once a week.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Assist with custodial duties including waste disposal and recycling management.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
- Follow safety protocols while cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory. We are willing to train.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing, is desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
