Janitorial Worker/Night Porter

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, focusing on commercial, industrial, and clinical settings.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Assist with custodial duties including waste disposal and recycling management.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
• Follow safety protocols while cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory. We are willing to train.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing, is desirable.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
