What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Assistant Principal position at Haverford High School?
The School District of Haverford Township is seeking a full-time (12-month) assistant principal with the start of the 2025-26 school year.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative, relationship-oriented individual with integrity, strong work ethic, growth mindset and ability to engage a diverse school population, and will be jointly responsible for the general management of staff, scheduling and activities for an academically oriented school with a dynamic extra-curricular program. Our District is a high academic performing educational system committed to developing and maintaining academic equity and access for all students and staff.
This individual will provide leadership for continuous evaluation, development and improvement of the school's educational program within District philosophy and policy.
This 12 month position is included within the District's Act 93 Administrator group.

Qualifications and preferred experience:
* Valid PA Secondary Principal certification required
* Master's degree
* Experience in administration
* Relevant administrative experience preferred, including but not limited to curriculum development, growing historically under-performing students, leading whole school initiatives, school safety initiatives and special education program supervision/monitoring
* Involvement in all aspects of secondary school program including academics and extracurricular activities, athletics, arts and dance that require early morning and evening hours on multiple occasions throughout each month
* Situational awareness
* Strategic planning and problem solver
* Strong organizational skills with superior written and oral communication skills required
* Data analysis and planning skills
* Relevant training and/or certifications preferred
* Duties as assigned such as daily lunch duty or arrival/dismissal activities
* Ability to work with all students, staff members, and district administrative collaboratively
* Ability to be an LEA at special education proceedings
* Ability to work administrative hours including evenings
* Other duties as assigned
