Caregiver Coordinator
The Caregiver Coordinator provides supervision and training for Hawaii Senior Care’s caregivers.
Responsibilities and Duties :
MANAGEMENT :
- Supervise nurse aides.
- Assess caregiver skill levels during orientation and in the field.
- Conduct supervisory visits.
- Provide caregiver training.
BACKUP / ON-CALL CARE :
If a scheduled caregiver cannot make his / her shift, the Caregiver Coordinator will serve as a stand-in until a replacement is found.
EXPERIENCE IN PERSONAL CARE SERVICES :
- Bathing, assistance with dressing, nail and skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, and oral hygiene.
- Assistance with ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices, (walker, crutches, cane) change of position.
- Assistance with toileting; use of bedpan, commode, or urinal; incontinent care.
- Meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding.
- Emotional support and motivation through conversation, encouragement, and recreational activities.
- Maintenance of appropriate agency records following appropriate HIPAA guidelines.
- Present and conduct themselves professionally according to agency policy.
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures that are by agency policy.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :
- 1-year minimum of experience as a Certified Nurse Aide in a health care environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, families, coworkers, and all supervisors.
- Ability to accurately follow and process written and verbal instructions.
- Able to use MS Office and Google Docs.
- Have your vehicle, a valid driver's license, and insurance.
- Be currently living on the island of Oahu.
