Bookkeeper
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Location: Albany, NY
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage financial records and ensure accurate reporting for our business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in bookkeeping, accounts management, and compliance reporting. Experience in the fuel, trucking, or gas station convenience store (c-store) industries is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accuracy.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Manage payroll processing and employee records.
- Prepare and submit fuel tax reports, DOT compliance documents, and business licenses.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and tax preparation support.
- Collaborate with external auditors as needed to provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in Odoo and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of fuel tax filings, DOT compliance, or trucking industry regulations is a plus.
