Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Billing Compliance Specialist at Haworth Barber & Gerstman, LLC in New York, NY, with flexibility for remote work. The Billing Compliance Specialist will be responsible for maintaining compliance with billing guidelines, auditing timekeeper billing entries and communicating effectively with firm timekeepers to ensure that billing entries comply with client billing guidelines. This role will include working directly with our attorneys and paralegals. Being an effective communicator is essential in this role.
Qualifications
- Substantial background in compliance with insurance carrier litigation billing guidelines
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Prior work for a third-party legal bill review company or in an insurance carrier bill review department is a plus
