We are currently looking for a Human Resources Service Specialist to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Human Resources Service specialist, you will:
Be a front-line member of the Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) team, answer Human Resources (HR)-related questions, and serve as a resource to enable members to understand Human Resource services. Provide intermediate operational support across HR functions to various Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, and Haworth members. Do you have these required qualifications?
High school diploma or equivalent (i.e., General Education Diploma [GED]).
Three years experience within Human Resources or related field, utilizing administrative and communication skills, including customer service experience.
OR
Associates degree in Business or Human Resources or related field or equivalent.
One year experience within Human Resources or related field, utilizing administrative and communication skills, including customer service experience.
Along with the following:
Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Ability to work onsite in Holland, MI, without relocation assistance. Do you have these preferred qualifications?
Experience working with Systems Applications Processes (SAP) software.
Presentation skills and experience. Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity and privacy of confidential information.
Ability to work well under pressure and quickly assess and respond to customer requirements and needs.
Intermediate technical and organizational skills with good attention to detail.
Intermediate ability to learn new skills, work on team, and assume new responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Ability to adapt to change and learn quickly.
Intermediate knowledge of:
Two or more applied disciplines within human resources;
Employee, candidate, and organizational data;
Understanding of project monitoring and data reporting;

Customer(s), with ability to recommend workable solutions.
Intermediate customer service skills.
Excellent PC and keyboard/mouse skills required; strong skills with spreadsheet and word processing software applications. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Executes operational activities as requested by HR Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partners, including, but not limited to, coordinating New Member Orientation (NMO) and Operations Orientation; ordering supplies from office supplies vendor; filing; ordering baby blankets and hospital and bereavement flowers; processing express packages/documents; assisting with mass mailings; and creating “exit” and “new hire” packets, ensuring proper completion of tasks within Service Level Agreement (SLA) timeframe.
Coordinates hourly and salary interviews ensuring positive candidate experience.
Creates business-related travel letters for North American members traveling abroad, international members visiting North America, and, occasionally, customers and clients to assist with seamless travel experience.
Identifies process and procedure improvements to better serve members and improve processes.
Provides daily coverage for Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) help desk ensuring phone calls are promptly answered, walk up questions are answered, various email boxes and HR Queue requests are followed up on in timely manner to provide first level organizational support and to meet needs of Haworth members.
Flexes hours, working outside department’s normal business hours, to meet needs of members.
Provides support during HR events such as Open Enrollment, Member Appreciation Day, Scholarship Banquet, and Holiday gift distribution to assure positive member experience during large events.
Provides seamless escalation of member inquiries to second tier support (Senior HR Service Specialist or HR Shared Services Supervisor) for resolution when required ensuring member satisfaction.
Coordinates mailings and dissemination of electronic communications for HR to ensure consistent HR brand.
Creates purchase orders, using Enterprise Maintenance Planning and Control (EMPAC) software, to ensure timely payment of invoices. Haworth Values
