Job Description:
Seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for our corporate office to process our properties’ payables and assist in other various accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, extremely organized, able to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work. This is a full-time, on-site, hourly position with benefits available after a 90-day probationary period. Background and pre-employment drug test required.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices for ten properties in Yardi
- Review payables and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Match invoices to purchase orders in Yardi, ensuring that required receiving and documentation is complete.
- Follow up with property managers to gather required information for payment processing.
- Create and process weekly check runs for ten properties in Yardi.
- Correspond with vendors on documentation and payment issues.
- Manage the corporate Visa program including working with properties on ensuring receipts are provided and recording property charges in Yardi.
- Other non-recurring functions and projects including continuous improvements, accounting projects and other duties as assigned.
- General office duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years accounts payable processing or similar accounting experience
- Property management and Yardi experience is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work well with others – excellent phone and e-mail communication skills
- Attention to detail, punctual and dependable
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time with concurrent deliverables
- Basic excel and accounting knowledge
