Summary
Under general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the employee assists in the file maintenance of county employee personnel records. The intern organizes and maintains a hard copy file system that is accurate, preserving county records and managing paperwork effectively. The employee must maintain a high standard of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
Responsibilities- Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance of personnel files.
- Assists in the scanning, indexing, and filing of employee personnel records, ensuring personnel records are organized and maintained in an orderly manner.
- Sorts and files forms, reports, correspondence, and related documents.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Graduation from high school or GED.
- 1-year clerical experience, with 9 months specifically in file maintenance preferred.
- Student or within one semester of graduating from a higher education institution.
