A company located in Louisville, KY is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team! You will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial processes. This is a new position designed to enhance their internal accounting capabilities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Your new role
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
What you'll need to succeed
- CPA certification is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
