Position Summary:
Leadership Development Specialist assists with creating, developing, and implementing leadership development efforts tied to business outcomes by building leadership development experiences, tools, and programs to enhance new leader assimilation, coaching & mentoring solutions and leadership assessments for all people managers in the HCF Family of Companies.
Position Responsibilities a Specialist in Leadership Development:
- Partner with organizational leaders and the HR team to understand specific skills required of managers and other leaders.
- Facilitate the design, creation and delivery of leadership development programs that are aligned with business strategies.
- Measure the impact of various learning programs to ensure the appropriate business outcome is derived. Assess opportunities for continued improvement, set goals and establish metrics for success.
- Incorporate the company’s mission, core values, and other brand initiatives into core learning programs.
- Assess and develop the leadership capability framework.
- Partner in the development and implementation of supervisory and management development initiatives that drive retention, growth, and improved leadership and business acumen.
- Accurately diagnose organizational leadership challenges; develop and implement solutions.
- Constantly perform internal and external research and benchmarking to implement best demonstrated practices.
- Progressive in training, facilitation, and presentation strategies; combines traditional learning techniques with innovative formats to develop programs that ensure engagement of all learners.
- Develop coaching pools and facilitate team, group, and/or individualized coaching as required.
- Serve as an internal consultant to operations and human resources leaders on matters of management and leadership development.
- Use data to measure success: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions to further support business objectives
Knowledge, Skills and abilities: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Certified Coach, or willing to become certified. A minimum of 5 years of relevant learning and development experience, ideally in a fast-paced organization with a distributed workforce. Knowledge of Management, Leadership and Executive Development including management/leadership development programs, succession planning, assessments and executive coaching, travel as needed.
