Job Title: Qualified Mental Health Professional – Child/Adult/Trainee
Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:
-Provides intensive crisis services in a one-to-one setting for individuals experiencing a crisis situation with emphasis on linking the individual to services and coordinating care.
-Implement crisis interventions and service plans.
-Models and teaches problem-solving techniques.
-Coordinates care with other professionals involved with client including but not limited to PCP, psychiatrist, psychologist, outpatient therapist, etc.
-Coordinates scheduling of appointments with the individual and family.
-Provides 24-hour crisis intervention and support for the individual and family as necessary.
-Documents all service delivery in a timely manner as required by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
-Maintains regular and ongoing contact with referring agencies, as well as other agencies involved in delivering services to the individual and his/her family.
-Actively coordinates and plans discharge and aftercare plans.
-Attends interagency meetings and supervision sessions as necessary.
-Attends and participates in orientation, in-service training, and conferences as scheduled.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Must be able to function as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child/Adult/Trainee as determined by the state of Virginia regulations.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
-CPR and First Aid certified.
-Behavior management skills.
-Knowledge of psychotropic medications.
-Must submit to and receive satisfactory results from a criminal background investigation and a registry check by the Department of Social Services.
-A valid driver’s license and current copy of DMV driving record.
-A copy of the declaration page of automobile insurance is required.
-A job offer may be initiated but will be contingent upon receiving satisfactory results of the criminal background and registry check. Employment will not begin until all required documentation for background and registry checks have been received and submitted.
Job Type: Part-time/ Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour-$32.00
Expected hours: No less than 10 hours per week
