What are the responsibilities and job description for the TMS Coordinator / Tech position at Health and Psychiatry?
JOB SUMMARY
A medical technician to deliver TMS therapy to patients. This is a noninvasive electromagnetic device used to treat symptoms of depression and anxiety as determined by the overseeing physician. TMS experience required. The device easily attaches near the patients scalp without any difficulty or pain. Additionally will perform office administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and insurance billing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Easily attaches the TMS device to patients by placing device with an electromagnetic coil near the patients left scalp
- Performs office administrative tasks such as, keeping medical records, scheduling appointments and handling all medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Maintains patients medical records current are communicates any patients issues to the physician in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
- a HS Diploma or Associate's degree
- at least one-year Medical Assistant or Mental/Behavioral Health experience preferred, but not required.
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Basic Life Support (BLS):
Responsibilities:
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor, and interface well with patients in a mental-health setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
