HCSET is looking for a skilled, full-time Medical Assistant to manage Front Desk duties and provide MA support as necessary to ensure optimal staffing for patient care.
General Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of duties. The receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, helping patients with financial assistance when needed, and multiple other clerical duties related to this administrative support position. As an MA- employee is responsible for direct patient care and administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care, referrals, pre-certification, environmental, and organizational tasks. Must be willing to work different HCSET locations and various shifts.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Scheduling appointments.
- Call patients for appointment reminder.
- Monitor schedule and patient flow.
- Assist patients with Grants.
- Collect co-pays or any outstanding balances.
- Scan documents, fax documents, and file documents.
- Prepare charts for the following day including but not limited to verifying insurance.
- Call no show patients and reschedule.
- Assists in maintaining the waiting and reception areas so that these areas are kept neat and clean and reporting wind damage or additional maintenance is required in these areas.
- Complete pre-certifications, referrals and prescription refills for provider review and approval.

Medial Assistant Job Duties:
- Follow-up on all patients’ lab and diagnostic imaging results
- Triage and take patient health complaints, vitals, health and medication histories, and room patient.
- Perform veni-puncture, CLIA-waive lab test, vaccinations, assist with minor procedures.
- Clean patient rooms and clinical areas per infection control protocol
- Complete pre-certifications, referrals and prescription refills for provider review and approval
- Update patient charts with all services rendered, medications given and test results.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
