JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary Statement:
Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, scope of practice, along with recognized professional standards and Health Partner and employer specific protocols and policy.
Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Associate degree or diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred
Additional qualifications may be applicable for specialty care
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Maintain a current Minnesota and Wisconsin registered nurse's license
Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population services and ensure safety of patients.
Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act
Critical thinking, excellent interpersonal skills, fluent in electronic medical record use - EPIC preferred
Understanding of Nursing Practice Act and Scope of Practice for various roles
