Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities and autism by implementing personalized care plans.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, and team members regarding client progress and needs.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed to maintain a comfortable living space for clients.
Skills
- Experience with activities of daily living (ADLs) is essential.
- Knowledge of working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients' needs.
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques.
- Familiarity with group home settings is advantageous.
- Certification in CPR is a plus.
- Experience in home health care environments is beneficial.
