Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling and support to individuals and families, particularly focusing on children and adolescents. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health issues and the ability to implement effective therapeutic interventions. The LCSW will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in a hospital or clinical setting to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide mental health counseling services, including individual, group, and family therapy.
- Utilize evidence-based practices in behavioral therapy to address various psychological issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and treatment for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.
- Offer guidance and support to families, emphasizing child family counseling techniques.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychopharmacology and special education.
- Provide Christian counseling as appropriate, respecting the diverse backgrounds of clients.
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
- Valid state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Experience in mental health counseling within a hospital or behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with children and adolescents, including experience in child family counseling.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and psychopharmacology is advantageous.
- Understanding of special education services and resources is a plus.
- Proficiency in using ICD-9 coding for documentation purposes is beneficial.
