Knowledge Skills and Abilities::
- General knowledge of mental illness and emotional components, rehabilitation methods, treatment planning, basic principles of casework, and knowledge of general community welfare resources.
- Ability to conduct interviews and report results of the interviews.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with Community Supervision, Corrections Department and other professional groups, to exercise tact, initiative, and good judgment when dealing with people.
- Ability to prepare reports and recommendations for administrative use.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats of communication.
- Must have excellent time management and excellent organization/filing skills.
- Must be able to travel 60% locally and 10% regionally.
- Must be able to transport clients.
- Must have excellent clinical documentation skill and excellent computer skills.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work, sociology, psychology, education, the humanities, or a behavioral science.
- Must be able to maintain QMHP Credentialing for continued employment.
- Two years case management experience required:.
