What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Professional #162 position at Heart of Texas Region MHMR Center?
The Administrative professional will be knowledgeable in office procedures and administrative support work. Work involves typing letters, memoranda and reports; opening and routing mail, receiving visitors; answering the telephone and taking messages; keeping records of appointments; maintaining routine files; and assembling and organizing materials used by staff in completing work assignments. Knowledge of client collections, benefits confirmation and authorization of care.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED :
- Receives consumers at the front desk with courtesy and respect.
- Opens and distributes mail, assembles materials for staff use.
- Serves as receptionist, make appointments, answers routine questions from the public, routing phone calls as needed.
- Coordinates and schedules physician appointments.
- Assists people in completing forms.
- Transmits material to proper authorizing officials.
- Maintains and works with files of a confidential nature.
- Utilizes a computer for data entry and client identification.
- Related work as assigned.
