As a Patient Service Representative you will be the face of our organization and have an integral part in ensuring that our patients have a positive experience. You will be an advocate for our patients, ensuring that their questions and concerns are addressed in a professional and timely manner. Your primary duties will include providing administrative support to our medical staff, handling patient inquiries and scheduling appointments. You will also assist with billing and other administrative tasks as needed. Candidate will be required to be in office Monday- Friday 8-430. This is NOT a remote position.
Job Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet patients in a professional and courteous manner
- .Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient schedules.
- Verify patient insurance coverage.
- Update patient medical records and insurance information.
- Collect copayments and other payments from patients.
- Answer patient inquiries and respond to requests for information.
- Process medical documentation for insurance claims.
- Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
- Process and submit refill requests to pharmacies.
- Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations.
- File and retrieve patient medical records.
- Contact patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
- Assist in resolving patient inquiries and complaints.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- • Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred
- • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
