Overview:
Heartland Health Resource Center is a 501(c)3 that is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to join our organization with a start date of May 27, 2025. This role is essential in providing support to our daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the office. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Mission of Heartland Health Resource Center:
We connect people who are affected directly or indirectly by HIV/AIDS with medical, emotional, and physical resources that can improve their lives. We are committed to providing information and education to encourage community-wide understanding of this universal health risk.
Duties:
- Perform general administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and document management.
- Maintain contact lists, produce and distribute correspondence in a professional manner that aligns with the mission of Heartland Health Resource Center.
- Serve as a personal assistant to the director, managing schedules and appointments.
- Handle front desk responsibilities, greeting visitors and managing incoming calls.
- Must be able to open the office each morning at 8:30am Monday - Friday.
- Effectively communicate with community partners to ensure care of clients is prioritized.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
- Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Attention to minor details as the job includes data entry the majority of the time.
- Experience as a personal assistant or in a front desk capacity
- Familiarity with website updating is a plus.
- Background in medical reception or office management will be considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.91 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
